Games for Gamers

Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom is a very enjoyable game. I’ve never been very good at fighters, but Carlos got the hang of it almost instantly. I appreciate fighting games but have never been a master at any. I quickly get frustrated and pass the controller to someone else. Fortunately, in this game, I don’t mind sitting back and watching the pretty pretty colors.

I’m not familiar with any of the characters on the Tatsunoko side of things; it feels very fresh to play through the game with a new character that does not have the familiar qualities of a Marvel, DC or MK character. You're not surprised by a move set when you play a game as Wolverine or Spiderman. It's very engaging to see what different characters can do.

There’s not really much to say about the game other than “go buy it.” The gameplay is responsive, the graphics are smooth and colorful, the character and diverse and balanced. If you’re looking for a successor to the Marvel Vs. Capcom series or just a fast-paced fighter fix, this is the game for you.
